To speak of Veracruz, the state with the largest coast in the Gulf of México, is to speak about joy, music, dance, magic and witchcraft. It is located to the east of the country and its climate varies according to the region and goes from the hot-humid of the coast to very cold in the mountains.
The conquest of the region began with the foundation of Villa Rica de la Vera Cruz in 1519 by Hernán Cortés. Already in the independent stage, the port of Veracruz was the scenario of historical resistance to the invading forces.
Veracruz is land of: beautiful colonial cities like Córdoba, towns with rich traditions such as Papantla and Tlacotalpan, others filled with magic such as Catemaco and its Island of the Monkeys, and some with great cultural activity like Xalapa. Along with coffee plantations of exuberant surroundings, natural wonders such as waterfalls, lagoons, rivers and the beautiful coastal strip of Costa Esmeralda. And if this were not enough, it also has an excellent gastronomy, all of the above makes it an exceptional state.
