Tulum – Free beach day

Now with your car, you can travel to Tulum to check in at your hotel. This day you’ll be free to do what you desire. Tulum has a great variety of beautiful beaches that you can enjoy.

Tulum – Archaological site of Cobá – Casa Itzamná – Punta Laguna – Tulum

After breakfast, leave early towards Cobá and visit its archaeological site (entrance cost and guide not included). Explore its ancient roads to discover Nohoch Muul, the highest Mayan pyramid of the Yucatán Peninsula. Then, you will be able to visit a center of study and diffusion of the ancient Mayan traditions, where you will be able to learn more about this culture and participate in an artisan chocolate workshop with plants, flowers and honey. A super beautiful activity where you will get to know pure cocoa, and you can take home your own chocolate bar. Try the Yucatecan gastronomy and then continue your way to Punta Laguna, a beautiful natural environment, managed by a Mayan cooperative. You will immerse yourself in the jungle searching for spider and howler monkeys. After a beautiful Mayan ceremony, you can take a canoe ride to explore part of its huge 90,000 square meters lagoon. If you are adventurous, you can jump off a 240 meter zipline to enjoy the incredible scenery, and later descend on rappel down its underground cenote to take a dip in its crystal clear waters.

Return to the hotel in Tulum.

Tulum – Archaological site of Tulum – Cenotes – Tulum

After breakfast, tour the archaeological site of Tulum, and then visit a beautiful cenote to swim, snorkel, or simply enjoy this natural wonder. Return to your hotel in Tulum. Afterwards, visit one of the most beautiful beaches in Tulum. Its white sand with the turquoise sea as a background, will be something you won’t forget!

Tulum – Señor Community – Chunhuhub

Departure from your hotel to Señor community. You can participate in a henequén fiber workshop with one of the community’s grandparents, and then another of these charming gentlemen, who only speak Mayan, with the help of an interpreter, will share interesting stories about the Caste War that the Mayans suffered at the beginning of the previous century. We’ll eat in the community. Then transfer to a Mayan cooperative located in the village of Chunhuhub. We’ll visit their facilities, where you can learn about the meliponas bees (mayan bees) and see their organic garden. The hospitality of the members of this ecotourism center will make you feel at home. Night of Mayan legends and then rest from this wonderful, but exhausting day!

Chunhuhub – Bacalar

The chewing gum season comes along with the rain season, so if the weather allows, this day we will get up very early to take a light snack and at 7:00 am we will step into the jungle to see the interesting process of extracting the resin from the tree, and then make the chewing gum. We will walk a path to learn about medicinal plants and the interesting flora and fauna of the place. When we return from our walk, we will take our breakfast in the cooperative and relax for a short time before we leave towards the Bacalar Lagoon and enjoy the next paradise. You will have free afternoon.

Bacalar: free day

This day you can spend a relaxing time in Bacalar and enjoy its famous lagoon. On sunny days, you can see seven colors in the lagoon! You can relax in its calm waters on a kayak and disconnect from everything completely.

Bacalar – Xpu-Ha Beach – Playa del Carmen

On this day we will say farewell to the lagoon of Bacalar and head towards Playa del Carmen (trip of 3:30 hour approximately). On the way, we’ll make a stop to visit one of the most beautiful beaches in this region: Xpu-Ha (at the entrance, a small fee is charged to help with the conservation of the beach: not included), free time to enjoy the beach and eat. In the afternoon, we’ll transfer to Playa del Carmen to enjoy its movement, its numerous restaurants and shops.

Return home: Playa del Carmen – Cancún Airport

We head back to Cancún Airport to drop off our car, and return home!
